LANGKAWIBOOK RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

(Operated by Trevabook Sdn. Bhd.)

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using our services. By confirming a booking, you agree to comply with these terms governing the rental and use of vehicles provided by Trevabook Sdn. Bhd. (“LangkawiBook”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) via www.langkawibook.my or related services.

Our intention is to provide a smooth rental experience while ensuring responsibilities are clearly understood by all parties.

1. Driver Eligibility & Licence Requirement

To ensure safety and regulatory compliance:

Drivers must be :

  • 20–65 years old for standard vehicles
  • 22–65 years old for luxury vehicles

Drivers must hold :

  • A valid full national driving licence, or
  • A valid International Driving Permit, or
  • A driving licence in English acceptable for use in Malaysia.

Probationary or temporary licence holders are not permitted.

LangkawiBook reserves the right to reject rental if driver eligibility is not met.

2. Rental Period & Vehicle Return

The rental period follows the duration stated in the booking confirmation.

• Extensions are subject to approval and vehicle availability.
• Failure to return the vehicle on time may result in additional rental charges or recovery action.
• Vehicle must be returned at agreed location, date, and time together with all accessories and equipment.

If recovery action is required, renter shall bear all related costs.

2.1 LangkawiBook Responsibilities

LangkawiBook will :

• Provide vehicle in roadworthy condition at start of rental.
• Maintain vehicles according to manufacturer standards.
• Ensure valid insurance coverage.
• Provide replacement vehicle support in case of breakdown or accident, subject to availability.

2.2 Renter Responsibilities

During the rental period, renter agrees to :

• Safeguard vehicle and keys at all times.
• Lock vehicle when unattended.
• Use correct fuel type.
• Use all security devices provided.
• Notify LangkawiBook immediately upon discovering damage or defects.
• Return vehicle in reasonable cleanliness condition.

Charges may apply for :

• Lost keys
• Excessive cleaning required
• Interior or exterior damage
• Missing accessories
• Damage to tyres, rims, lights or interior components

Personal belongings left in vehicle remain renter’s responsibility.

Renter must prepare their own toll or Touch 'n Go cards.

3. Rental Rates

Rental charges are calculated based on 24-hour periods.

• Additional hours charged proportionately up to daily maximum.
• Rates include basic insurance, maintenance, and third-party liability coverage.
• Rates may change without prior notice.

4. Payment Terms

• Payment accepted via Visa, Mastercard or E-wallet only.
• Credit/debit card must belong to renter.
• Third-party card payments are not accepted.
• Cash payment is not available.

LangkawiBook may refuse service if payment requirements are not satisfied.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Refund eligibility :

• Cancellation more than 7 days before rental → Full refund
• Cancellation between 3–7 days → 50% refund
• Cancellation within 48 hours → No refund

Refund processing timelines may vary based on payment provider.

6. Rental Extension & Amendments

Any request to :

• Extend rental period
• Change pickup or return location
• Add drivers

must be communicated promptly to ensure insurance validity. Failure to notify may result in penalties or invalid coverage.

7. Additional Charges

Renter agrees to bear costs arising from :

• Traffic or parking fines
• Fuel shortage upon return
• Vehicle damage or theft repair
• Rental income loss while vehicle is under repair (maximum 30 days)
• Vehicle seizure by authorities
• Delivery or collection services
• Payment recovery or legal collection fees
• Applicable taxes and levies

8. Vehicle Usage Restrictions

Vehicle shall not be used for :

• Illegal activities
• Racing, off-road driving, or endurance testing
• Teaching someone to drive
• Driving under influence of alcohol or drugs
• Carrying excessive passengers or goods
• Transporting odor-causing materials
• Carrying pets

Only authorized drivers named in agreement may operate the vehicle.

9. Termination of Agreement

LangkawiBook may terminate rental if :

• Payment obligations are unmet
• Rental terms are violated
• Fraud or misuse occurs
• Insolvency or legal proceedings affect renter

Vehicle may be repossessed without prior notice.

10. Liability Reduction Options (LRO & SLRO)

To provide flexibility and peace of mind, renters may choose optional liability reduction packages. These options reduce renter’s financial exposure, but do not eliminate responsibility entirely.

10.1 Liability Reduction Option (LRO)

LRO reduces renter’s liability in case of accidental damage or loss. However, renter remains responsible in situations including :

• Tyre or rim damage
• Interior damage
• Windscreen damage
• Negligence or misuse
• Unauthorized driver usage
• Violation of traffic laws

10.2 Super Liability Reduction Option (SLRO)

SLRO offers broader protection compared to LRO by further lowering renter’s liability. However, coverage does not apply if damage results from :

• Reckless or negligent driving
• Driving under alcohol or drugs
• Unauthorized drivers
• Illegal activities
• Intentional damage
• Severe misuse or interior abuse

10.3 Important Clarification

LRO and SLRO :

• Are optional add-ons
• Do not replace insurance policies
• Reduce, but do not eliminate liability
• Remain subject to compliance with rental terms

Full liability applies if terms are violated.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Malaysian law. Any disputes shall fall under jurisdiction of Malaysian courts.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ATTRACTIONS TICKET PURCHASES

 Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services offered by TREVABOOK SDN. BHD. (“LANGKAWIBOOK“) or (“We”, “Us”, or “Our”), a company incorporated under the laws of Malaysia. These terms set forth the legally binding terms and conditions for your use of Our Services as contained in http://www.langkawibook.my (“Website“) (collectively with the site, referred to as “Services“).

 

1. Booking Confirmation:

  • Purchase vouchers for services through the Langkawibook Platform. Upon purchase, you'll receive an email confirmation containing a unique voucher confirmation and a printable version of your voucher.

  • To utilize your voucher, ensure timely attendance at the designated meeting point and present required documents or information, including your confirmation voucher. Failure to comply may result in no refunds.

  • Operators may require photo identification to use your voucher. Lost or stolen vouchers are not the responsibility of Langkawibook or the operator. Vouchers become void if the relevant services are prohibited by law.

 

2. Terms of Vouchers:

  • Each voucher's terms of use vary among operators and will be conveyed to you upon purchase.

  • Vouchers are admission tickets to one-time events, with usage dates specified. Failure to use vouchers by the stated dates results in no refunds.

 

3. Cancellation of Vouchers:

  • Cancel vouchers within the specified period by contacting Langkawibook customer service. Refunds will be issued to the credit card used for purchase.

  • Operators are solely responsible for accepting or rejecting vouchers related to their services. Consult the operator for inquiries or complaints regarding service received.

 

4. Required Assistance:

  • Contact Langkawibook if you encounter difficulties using a voucher. Langkawibook will attempt to liaise with the operator for resolution.

 

5. Additional Charges:

  • Langkawibook may require fees for services. Pay all applicable fees as described on the platform.

 

6. Modifications to Charges:

  • Langkawibook reserves the right to change fees at any time with notice. Your use of services after notification constitutes acceptance of new fees.

 

7. Langkawibook’s Rights and Obligations:

  • Langkawibook reserves the right to deny or cancel bookings deemed in violation of policy.

  • Efforts are made to offer services at competitive prices, excluding taxes and additional fees.

  • While operators provide pricing information, Langkawibook cannot guarantee accuracy at all times.

 

8. Mode of Payment:

  • Langkawibook accepts Visa and MasterCard for online bookings. Third-party credit cards are not accepted. Cash transactions are not accepted for hotel bookings.

 

9. Governing Law:

This agreement is governed by Malaysian law. Disputes may be submitted to Malaysian courts. Invalidity of any provision does not affect the remaining provisions.

THESE TERMS OF USE MUST BE READ BEFORE USING THE SITE. THE USAGE OF ANY PART OF THE SITE INDICATES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS OF USE.

The www.langkawibook.my site ("Site") is managed by TREVABOOK SDN. BHD. companies ("we", "us", "our" or “LangkawiBook”). By accessing and/or using any part of the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood, and agree to the Terms of Use (“Terms”) and other terms and conditions in relation to the Site as referred to in these Terms. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms, you may not access or use any part of the Site. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you as an individual user (“you” or “your”) and LangkawiBook. You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to use the Site.

Please note that we may change, modify, add and delete these Terms at any time where this is necessary to comply with any law or regulation binding on us or to reflect a change to our operational practices, provided that we will use reasonable endeavours to provide notice of material changes on the Site. Every time you use the Site, please check these Terms to ensure that you have reviewed the current version. By continuing to use any part of the Site you hereby agree and consent to these changes and its application to you.

 

HOTEL’S TERMS AND CONDITIONS

As highlighted under “About these terms”, your booking is also subject to the relevant Supplier’s (in this case the hotel you are staying in) terms. These can generally be found on the hotel’s own website. If there are any inconsistencies between these terms and the hotel’s terms and conditions, for e.g. where you have selected a cheaper room that cannot be changed or refunded, these terms will apply. If you have any questions on the terms and conditions that apply to your hotel booking, you can contact us directly.

BOOKING PROCESS

We shall use reasonable endeavors to issue your hotel booking confirmation within the time frame we notified you of during your booking process. If your hotel booking confirmation is not issued within this time frame, please contact us. For many of our rooms, confirmation is instant. As soon as your booking is confirmed, we will email you to notify you of this and from this point onwards, your room is guaranteed. If we are unable to confirm your booking, we will provide you with a full refund.

If, after your hotel booking has been confirmed, you contact the hotel directly and they cannot locate your booking, please do not worry. Your booking is still guaranteed; the hotel may not have your personal information until closer to the booking date. If you have any concerns, please contact us.

CHANGING, CANCELLING OR UPGRADING YOUR BOOKING

We will have provided you with information on your rights to change or cancel your hotel booking (and any associated fees) during your booking process; you may have selected a cheaper room that cannot be changed or refunded. This information forms part of these terms and should be read carefully before finalizing your booking. If you are unsure whether your hotel booking permits changes and/or refunds for cancellation, please contact us.

When your hotel booking permits changes, the hotel and/or rooms that you can change to may be limited by the hotel or the third party hotel inventory supplier, and so all of the options on our Website and/or alternative rooms at that hotel may not be available to you. We will provide you with information on the available options when we receive your request to change your hotel booking.

If your booking is changed or cancelled by the relevant hotel, generally that hotel’s terms and conditions will apply. Please contact us directly  and we will help as part of our customer support services.

HOTEL RATINGS

Our guest ratings are based on verified reviews from users. Our star ratings are based on a combination of information, such as ratings provided directly by the hotels (including, where applicable, their star rating , amenities, photos, guest reviews and price. This is to give you the best indication of the standard of the hotel. However, you acknowledge and agree that the star rating is an indication only, standards vary between countries and you are responsible for reviewing all of the information provided on the hotel on our Website, to ensure that you are happy with the standard of the hotel before booking.

 

MODE OF PAYMENT

LANGKAWIBOOK accepts credit and debit cards Visa and MasterCard upon online booking. Third party credit cards are not accepted. The credit card presented must be in the name of the authorized renter. LANGKAWIBOOK reserves the right to refuse its Hotel booking services if this term is not met. Cash transaction is not acceptable.

 

GOVERNING LAW

This agreement is governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute may be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Malaysia Courts. If any provision of this Agreement is or becomes invalid or unenforceable the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
